Bring bring.....

... Hello, myvintageparty!

Well, i couldn't resist this little beauty at the car boot sale on Saturday! The stallholder had a number of gorgeous telephones but I loved this one's striking red colour. The man selling the telephones apparently had a shed full of phones which he restored back to their former glory. I was oohing and ahhing whether to buy it or not, at £15 it wasn't that cheap, but as you can see, i just couldn't resist and it came home with me. I love the sound of the traditional telephone ring, you just can't beat it!

Thanks also go to Thecraftytrundler for her tip about the Cath Kidston wallpaper at Focus. After the boot sale at the weekend I went to the Daventry store to pick some up but they didn't have any :( so I drove back to Northampton where i bought a couple of rolls. Yippee! A bargain at £5. Oooh, will have to think of some things to do with it now... it even matches my bag!!

  2. Love that phone! I think £15 is great compared to what you'd pay in the shops.

By the way did you decide to paint or leave the burea? I think I would leave it personally. By the way we have the same address book!

  7. Thanks for all your lovely comments!

Annie x - Thank you and thank you for all your lovely comments!

Shabby Chick - We have decided to leave the bureau as it is for now! We obviously have good taste too if we have the same address book!!

Littlemisswedding - Thanks! The caravan has now had its re-spray so we now need to do some professional pics and get it all up on the website. I'll give you an email once its 100% ready!

Annie - Your suitcase looks fab, i just wrote you a message on your blog. What's the car boot sale like at Wickstead, i've never been?

Felicity - Aww, thank you, you've made me feel better now. £15 isn't much, it just seemed a lot for a car boot sale. I'm used to getting everything for 50p!!

Nicola - You'll have to get a blog going of your own and post your wallpaper art!

Thanks ladies, you make this blog all worthwhile!

  8. Glad you like the paper, and great that you've found some!!!
Certainly cheaper, and of comparable quality to CK!!!
My local Focus, said it was reduced, as they weren't selling too much of it!!! I think that may have changed in the last few weeks!!i have bought some of the small white posy 'Millie' for my bedroom, and have gained samples of the others!!

PS Have never been to WICKSTEED car boot. Will have to take a look!!

  9. Wicksteed is pretty good , very large if the weather is good. I don't go to many so can't compare too much but it isn't one of these that has traders selling lots of new rubbish, more genuine car booters.
I added you to my list of confirmed sellers for the fair last night , we have a few more still to add just waiting for their details. I am hoping as the weeks go on to be adding more. Let me know nearer the time what you want to do and I will take your name off the list if you decide definitely not to do it. Hopefully we will see you one way or another.
